Get More Free Website Hits – Geeks Need Not Apply

Written By: Gerry on February 23, 2009 7 Comments

Are you a geeky computer programmer that can hammer out code like it is your first language?

Were you typing backslashes and hyper linking C++ nerd code into your parent’s computer before you could walk?

Did your parents even have a computer?

If you are like the majority of people online, you may know how to operate your blog, a bit of html and how to check your emails.

Anything more than this is NERD territory and something you probably want to avoid before getting pimples, wearing thick rimmed glasses and shying away from girls.

OK, no offence to the NERDS out there, but the majority of us have no idea how to type code, auto-program this or that and make our computers work harder for us.

Nerd Glasses – NOT REQUIRED.

If this is the case then how on earth are you going to get a rash of visitors to your site?

Well, it’s not all bad news for us that are technologically challenged. The good news is – it is all about what you say.

You need the skills to write well and present your website well. Do this, and you will attract repeat visitors and new visitors. It has nothing to do with auto traffic spamming code generators.

If you are serious about your business online, you will write everything to the best of your ability, present your website professionally and persist until you get success.

Combine this with networking with others, articles, press releases, posting comments on other blogs in your niche and a few other techniques and slowly but surely you WILL get traffic.

OK, it’s not going to hit you fair and square between the eyes, but chances are if it did – it would be rubbish traffic.

So, keep working hard on what you are doing – tweak your site, ensure your design is SMOKIN HOT, add comments to forums and blogs and participate in your community networking with others.

Phewww……..No need to get that NERDY code related book out.

What about you? Leave a comment – how much NERD ability do you have? Leave a link to your site so we can check out your NERD Capabilities……

Posting good quality comments on other blogs is a great way to drive traffic to your blog. The majority of comments left by people are short, usually non relevant and are usually left to get a backlink rather than to add content to a post. So if you are one of the few who actually leaves good comments, you are more likely to get noticed, and if you get noticed, you are more likely to get people hopping over to your blog to see what sort of blogger you really are.

Sire – yes you are correct. It all comes down to quality.

For example – a simple comment – ‘Great Post’ won’t do anything for you.

You need to add long replies full of rich content to attract people. Thanks for commenting

    Regards

    Gerry.
